JEE MAIN 2018

The Joint Entrance Examination Main is a national entrance level examinations for the candidates who are successfully completed their 12th standard. The exam will be conducted in offline mode. JEE Main admit card 2018

JEE Main admit card will be released in the month March 2nd week 2018. The students who are enrolled for the JEE Main examination may check the admit cards by entering their roll number and password. The admit card is essential for the examination. The JEE Main hall ticket will be released by the CBSE through online mode only. The JEE Main admit card will contain the following details. The candidate after downloading Hall ticket must check the following details present or not. They are candidate name, roll number, Exam time and the name of the exam, signature, and photograph of the candidate, address for examination and instructions to be followed while writing the examination.

Application Form of JEE Main

The candidates who are interested to apply for the JEE Main examination can follow the below steps to apply for the JEE Main 2018. It is mandatory to apply for the JEE Main application form in order to write the examination. The application form will be available in Dec. Before applying for the exam you must have the same documents that are submitted through online. The documents are Scanned Copies of Adhaar Card, Photograph, Signature, Academic Documents, Valid Mail ID, Valid Mobile No.

  • Firstly the applicant must visit the official website of JEE Main ate jeemain.nic.in
  • Before going to apply for the JEE Mains first you should read the notification carefully and then click on the apply online button.
  • Fill all the details described in the application form.
  • Recheck all the details given on the form.
  • Also, attach the Scanned Copies of Adhaar Card, Photograph, Signature, Academic Documents.
  • Then pay the required application fee and click on submit button.
  • You can pay your fee through online or offline mode that is based on your choice.
  • Take the printout of application form for future reference.

JEE Main Exam Pattern 2018

The JEE Main exam will be conducted in two parts i.e part-1 and part-2. The part-1 exam was conducted for the courses of Engineering and the part-2 exam is for Architecture courses. The complete details about these exam patterns will be given as follows. However the exam will be conducted on 8th April and the online exam was conducted on 15, 16 April. The paper-1 will be conducted in both online and offline modes, but the paper-2 will be conducted only in offline.

JEE Main 2018 Eligibility criteria

The candidates who want to apply for the JEE Main examination must satisfy the eligibility criteria given by the board. The eligibility was based on the age and educational qualification. The complete details of the JEE Mains eligibility will be given as follows.

Age limit:

  • The candidates who are going to write the exam must be born after October 01, 1993.
  • The age relaxation for the candidates like SC/ST/PWD is applicable i.e the candidates belongs to these categories should have the 5 years age relaxation. That is the candidates born after 01, 1987 are eligible.
  • The date of birth was considered as on mention in secondary education board certificate.

Educational qualification:

  • The candidates who are applied for this examination can clear all subjects in 12th class and they must choose the subjects in the inter i.e Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
  • The students who can take 5 subjects in 12th they can only eligible to write this exam otherwise the candidate with 4 subjects are not eligible.
  • There are no required marks to write the JEE Main exam. I.e if you want to write the main exam you must clear all subjects in 12th standard.
  • The candidates who can pass the 12th in 2016, n2017, 2018 are also eligible.
  • For example, the students appeared for 12th exams in 2016 but they are not passed and again he will be passed in 2017. Such candidates are not eligible to write the JEE Main examination.
  • Diploma candidates are also eligible to apply for JEE Main 2018 but they can only eligible for admission to IITs.

No.of attempts to be done by a candidate in JEE Main:

JEE Main exam will be attempt 3 times and the JEE Advanced will be 2 times.

JEE Main 2018 cutoff

There are no minimum marks in JEE Main examination. Answer Key 2018 JEE Main

JEE Main Answer Key: The CBSE Board and the authorities of JEE Main will release the JEE Main answer key 2018. The candidates who are completed the JEE Main examination can check for Answer key released by the CBSE Board. The answer sheet will be released in the month of 24th to 27th April 2018. The answer key will be used to cross check the answers put in the examination. JEE Main counseling 2018

The candidates who are successfully getting the rank in the JEE Main will be allowed to the JEE Mains counseling. The JEE Mains counseling will tentatively start from July and this jee mains counseling will be managed by JoSAA (Joint seat allocation authority)/CSAB. These board can perform the counseling for the students to take admissions into NITs/IITs/IIITs and CFTIs. The colleges will be allocated to based on their All India Rank and the colleges chosen by the candidates. In order to get the seat in a college, you should have to participate in the counseling process. There are many colleges in the state, for that you have to apply separately in state wise. In the JEE Main counseling process, the candidates have to submit some documents in seat allocation process. In case of SC/ST or other should submit the original certificates given by competent authority.

New changes introduced in JEE Main 2018

  1. The CBSE has released the 258 examination centers, in 258 centers there are 248 in India and 10 are out of India.
  2. From 2018 onwards the board has decided to introduce the slot booking facility by the students itself based on their preference.
  3. There is no marks weightage given for the 12th for calculating the AIR rank in Mains exam.
  4. There is no verification for 12th class roll number.
  5. For taking admissions into IITs, NITs, IIITs, CFTIs the students must have the 75% marks in 12th class and in case of SC/ST that is 65%.
  6. The students must have the aadhar card to apply for the JEE Main examination 2018.
  7. The students from Meghalaya, J & K, and Assam are excluded from this and they are providing their passport number, ration card number, bank account number or any other valuable govt. identity.
