According to the latest news updates, On 31 March, a Tablighi Jamaat religious congregation event that took place in Delhi in early March emerged as a new virus hotspot after numerous cases across the country were traced back to the event. 281 foreigners among 1830 people who had been staying at the mosque since 8 March were found by Delhi Police in Delhi’s Nizamuddin Markaz Mosque where the event was held. About 200 people have shown symptoms of the disease of which, 53 people have been confirmed positive in Delhi so far. Over 128 cases across the country were found to be linked to the event. Tamil Nadu reported more than 190 cases in a day, all who had been to the event. This incident has led to a war footing search for the attendees across the nation.
